1. Who we are

MicroMack is a brand of MicroMachines Colombia SAS, a company registered in Colombia, which sells, supports and warrants the machines. MicroMachines Colombia SAS is the data controller for this website and for any enquiry you send through it.

For anything to do with your data, write to privacy@micromack.com. A person reads it.

2. If you are just reading the site

We collect nothing that identifies you. There is no analytics package, no advertising pixel, no tag manager, no session recorder, and no social media widget phoning home. We genuinely do not know how many people visit or which pages they read.

Every font, image, script and stylesheet is served from micromack.com itself. Nothing loads from Google Fonts or any other outside company, so no third party is told that you were here. Currency conversion is fetched by our own server, not by your browser, so no currency provider ever sees your IP address either.

Our host, Vercel, keeps short-lived technical logs of requests, which include IP addresses. They exist so the site stays up and abuse can be spotted, they are not used for marketing or analytics, and they expire automatically.

3. If you send a build enquiry

This is the part where we do hold information about you. When you configure a machine and submit the form, we receive:

WhatWhy we need it
Your nameTo reply to you like a person rather than a ticket number.
Email addressTo send the quote. This is the only genuinely required contact field.
WhatsApp number, if you give oneOptional. Many customers prefer it, and in some markets it is the only practical channel.
City or regionTo route you to the right dealer and to work out shipping, duty and lead time.
Machine, edition, attachments and add-onsThe configuration you asked us to price.
Intended use and timeframeTo tell you honestly whether the machine suits the job, and when it could arrive.
Any notes you writeWhatever you chose to tell us.
Site languageSo we reply in the language you were reading in.

That information is stored in our enquiry records (Airtable) and a notification is sent to our internal team channel (Slack) so somebody picks it up. It is used to quote your machine and to follow up on it. It is not added to a marketing list, not sold, and not shared with anyone outside the people who need it to answer you.

DealersWhere your enquiry belongs to a dealer's territory, we pass your enquiry to that authorised dealer so they can serve you, because they are the ones who deliver, commission and support the machine. They receive what you sent us and nothing more, and they are required to use it only to respond to you.

The form also carries a hidden field that real people never see. If it is filled in, the submission is treated as automated spam and discarded. It collects nothing about you.

4. Cookies and what is stored on your device

This site sets no cookies. Check your browser and you will find none from micromack.com.

Two small values are kept in your browser's own localStorage so the site behaves sensibly between visits. They never leave your device, and we cannot read them:

Both exist only to deliver a preference you set yourself, so they are strictly necessary and need no consent. Clearing your site data removes them, with no effect beyond having to choose again.

Why there is no cookie bannerConsent is required to store or read information on your device unless it is strictly necessary for something you asked for. We store nothing else. A banner asking permission for storage we do not perform would be noise, so we have not added one. If that ever changes, we will ask before anything is stored.

5. Our legal bases

Where the UK or EU GDPR applies:

6. Who else sees your information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we never have. It reaches only the parties that make the thing work:

We will also disclose information where a law or valid court order requires it. If that happens and we are allowed to tell you, we will.

7. How long we keep it

8. Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to have it sent to you in a portable form. If we ever rely on your consent for something, you can withdraw it at any time.

Email privacy@micromack.com and we will deal with it within 30 days. There is no charge, and we will not ask you to justify the request.

If you are in the UK or EEA and think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.

9. International transfers

We are a Colombian company and our suppliers operate internationally, so your information will be processed outside your own country - in Colombia, and in the United States and the European Union where our providers run. Where the GDPR applies to a transfer, it is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or by an adequacy decision, which are the safeguards our providers publish and commit to contractually.

10. For customers in Colombia

Under Ley 1581 de 2012 and Decreto 1377 de 2013, you hold the rights of habeas data: to know, update, rectify and delete your personal data, to ask on what authorisation it is processed, to be told how it has been used, and to withdraw an authorisation you gave. Sending an enquiry through this site is your authorisation for us to use those details to answer you and to quote your machine.

Requests under those rights go to privacy@micromack.com, and we answer consultations within 10 working days and complaints within 15 working days, as the decree requires. If you are not satisfied, you may take the matter to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio.

11. Changes

If this ever stops being accurate, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant - if we ever add analytics or advertising, for example - we will make it obvious rather than quietly editing this text.
